Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th!

Building our future. Together.

My name is Sadie Gasparotto and I’m running for Clive City Council.

I’m running for Clive’s open city council seat because local elections matter and every voice counts. Local decisions shape our neighborhoods, parks, housing, and how we invest our tax dollars. Too often, Clive residents have faced limited choices on the ballot. My campaign is about increasing community engagement and inspiring more neighbors to take part in shaping Clive’s future.

Community Roots

  • Clive resident for nearly 10 years (156th & Hickman)
  • Raising two kids, Luca (8) & Evie (6), with husband Dominic
  • Longtime Dallas County resident, Dallas Center-Grimes graduate
  • Volunteer leader:  PTO & Waukee Community Schools Foundation

Education

  • Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning, University of Iowa
  • Master’s in Social Work, University of Iowa
  • Bachelor’s in Social Work, Northern Arizona University

Career Highlights

  • Senior Neighborhood Planner – City of Des Moines
  • Program Director – HOME, Inc.
  • Program Manager – United Way of Central Iowa
  • Independent Consultant – nonprofit strategy, funding & community planning
  • Interim Assistant Director – Des Moines Public Library Foundation

Through my work, I’ve learned that strong communities are built on smart investment, transparent leadership, and inclusive decision-making. On City Council, I’ll bring my background in planning, housing, and partnerships to ensure Clive preserves what we love while planning wisely for what’s next.
